Sripadaraja Pancharatna Maala

Image

Sri Sripadaraja Pancharatna Mala is published in Kannada and Sanskrit PDF downloadable format

The name of this Great Saint itself signifies his unparalelled contribution to Madhwa Fraternity. What more can we expect from such a great saint who has gifted Sri Vyasaraja. Sri Vyasaraja gifted other giants like Sri Vadiraja and Sri Vijayendra, who in turn gifted Sri Sudhindra Theertha. This great Sudhindra theetha then gifted unparalled Sri Raghavendra.

Collectively this groups contribution for Madhwa Philosophy is unfathomable.

In addition, Sri Sripadaraja revived and became a founding father of dasa-sahitya. With him groomed, Sri Purandara dasa who then became beacon of inspiration to all dasa sahitya contributors.

Sri Vadiraja in his stotra has confirmed Sripadaraja as an incaranation of Dhruva the great Bhagavadhbhakta.

Will it not be our duty to praise this great Guru.

NavaratnaMalika-PramanaSangraha

NavaratnaMalika-PramanaSangraha of Kambaluru Pinnarahari Acharya
(Commentary on Navarathna Malika of Sri Sripadaraja) is published in Kannada and Sanskrit PDF Format.

Sri Sripadarajaru has distilled the essence of Acharya Madhwa’s philosphy in One Small Sloka. He has squeeze stuffed all the essential tenets of Vaishnava sampradaya or tattwawada in it.

Anyone who wants to understand the tenets and essence of “Madhwa Matha” will find this work as a Light House. In a way, it will be more apt, if we say it is “Sarva Shastrartha Sangraha”. On plain reading, the reader may not find it easy to understand the stuff in its entirety.

Kambaluru Pinnarahari Acharya, a learned scholar, has garnered all the apt and relevant Proofs from “Sarvamoola”-the works of Acharya Madhwa, to substantiate and clarify the essentials of Madhwa Philsophy.

Sri Sripadarajaru proclaims :

It contains 9 Basic concepts, which are the core of Sri Anandatheertha’s dictums. Each of these dictums are adequately and aptly substantiated from the Proofs garnered from the works of Sri Poornapragna’s works fondly and respected called “Sarvamoola”

Only when we comprehend the Madhwa’s tenets, with the underlying Proofs, we can wholeheartedly appreciate and call ourselves “MADHWAS”. This work undoubtedly puts us into such formidable position, where in, we can give a befitting assertions to command the supremacy of “Madhwa Philosophy”

This work should become the first and essential compulsion for any “Tatwa-vaadin”. Undoubtedly, one has garner all the underlying points by-heart. Acharya Madhwa will be so pleased if one can make this work as “Parayana” every day. Each and every Madhwa should be proud to own this work in his Heart, which is the seat of Almighty.

We express our gratitude, to Dr. A V Nagasampige, who has edited this work and published by “Poornaprajna Samshodhana Mandiram” .

To express our deep gratitude, let us say

” HARI SARVOTHAMA & VAYU JEEVOTHAMA”

In Spritual World, contribution of Acharya Madhwa is unfathomable. Acharya Madhwa gave disciplehood to 4 scholars namely Sri Padmanabha Theertha, Sri Nahahari Theertha, Sri Madhava Theertha and Sri Akshobhya Theertha.

Sri Padmanabha Theertha thus became the first disciple of Acharya Madhwa.

sri-padmanabha-thirtha-1317-1324

Before he became the disciple of Acharya Madhwa, he was known as Shobhana Bhatta. He is said to have written many commentaries to Acharya Madwa’s Work.

Even renowned Sri Jayatheertha Teekacharya had acknowledged the greatness of Sri Padmanabhatheertha. He states :

In addition he confers – It is just impossible to comprehend Acharya Madhwa, without the help of commentaries written by Sri Padmanabha Theertha.

It would be apt to commemorate the greatness of Sri Padmanabha Theertha, if we can look and study all the works of Sri Padmanabha Theertha, in addition to performing usual ritual pooja, abhisheka etc.

We would be grateful to any people who can share his works (scanned copy, photo copy, manuscript etc.) with us and help us to get those scripts typed and published in this blog. This is one of the best ways to preserve protect and promote our rich culture. Let us see how many persons respond

“Deva pooja paddhati – Understanding the Meaning in Kannada”

Only with God’s Grace, we can attain liberation. Pure and Unqualified Bhakthi is the only means to qualify for God’s Grace. Only with emancipation, Bhakthi is perfected. Sincerely doing one’s prescribed duty, is the only means for Emancipation. Devotion and Meditation are the most important duties prescribed. Worshipping God daily, in the prescribed manner, purifies our heart and absolves us of all our sins. Daily Worship should not be stereotyped and mechanical. Instead, understanding and appreciating the implications and purpose of all these rituals are must. Only with correct understanding, deeds are perfected. Only then, the desired benefits are reaped.

Ironically, most of us perform the pooja rituals mechanically. We tend to totally forget, the purpose and meaning of most of our rituals. Biggest problem we face, is our poor literacy and mastery of Sanskrit. Unfortunately, all our Mantra and Stotra are in Sanskrit medium. Often, we never understand the meaning and implications of most of the Mantra and Stotra. In most of the cases, at the end of rituals, ultimately none learns and understands the meaning and implications. Everyday, we are vexed with this problem. What is the way out? Either Learn Sanskrit or surrender to meaningful translations.

Most of the available translations are descriptive and voluminous. Neither the meaning, nor the mantra are seamless. Such works throws us out off track, especially when we are Chanting and performing. Heart and Mind forgets to perceive the inner meaning of Mantra and stotras.

Fortunately, we came across a poetic translation of Sanskrit ‘ Devara Pooja ‘ Mantra in Kannada. In its Poem form, it is very easy to by heart the same and simultaneously understand its meaning and implications, while performing Devara Pooja. Scholar Sri V Srinivasa Murthy ( Sitarama Dasa) has done this wonderful and very useful work. We express our deep gratitude and humble regards to this scholar, for his meaningful work. We trust, he will be pleased to see his work, being published and made more accessable.

We, without much knowledge in Sanskrit, find this work really useful, when we are doing Devara Pooja.

Can we scan and appreciate ?
